Unfortunately Mike didn’t bring home the Norris trophy, but I’m looking forward to seeing him try to repeat his awesome season.
He was named to the NHL 1st All-Star team and did win the Bobby Orr trophy from the Espo Awards which is awarded to the best defenseman in the league by Phil Esposito on NHL Home Ice.
The draft is done, the caps got some good young prospects, but they lost their veteran leader in Fedorov to the KHL. Hopefully we can lock a couple good players via free agency. Until then, enjoy the offseason!
I haven’t posted on here in a while, and the postings will be scarce during the summer, but I expect to post the night of the Awards and then anytime there is news about Mike. Also looking forward to the draft, the free agent frenzy and of course to next season!
There’s only 4 days left before the big awards night, lets hope Green comes home with the well deserved Norris trophy.
This season was my first with this site. I expect next year to be even better, as I have grown with the site and have a lot more experience in blogging on sports.

We have 72 posts (excluding this one) in 6 categories. We only have 15 comments to date, but I expect that to grow next season.
I will be working towards developing the features and pages on the site during the offseason. And some sort of marketing plan.
I noticed that when I tweet my posts on Twitter my site gets about 30-50 extra unique visitors on that day!
Expect the hockey season review on Mike after June 18th, which is the awards night. Where Green will hopefully bring home the Norris as the #1 D-man!
