Michael David Green was born on October 12th 1985 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Kate and Dave Green.
Greenie or Game Over, two of his nicknames, currently plays for the Washington Capitals. He was originally drafted by them in the 1st round of the 2004 draft, 29th overall.

One of Mike’s records is for the longest consecutive goal scoring streak by a defenceman, he had goals in 8 straight games in 2008-09, the previous record was held by Mike O’Connel in 1983-84 and he had goals in 7 consecutive games.
