I’ve been following Mike Green since he started playing in the National Hockey League with the Washington Capitals back in the 2005-2006 season. I’ve always liked his style of play, but it was only last year that I really started to take notice, he’s quite the force on the ice on every shift.
After his breakout offensive season, people are starting to take notice, mostly because of the 18 goals and 56 points he had in 2007-2008. In my opinion he is in the top ten defensemen in the NHL right now, and should be there and higher for a long time to come.
Through this blog, I plan on following his carreer and sharing my thoughts and finds about him and other hockey related news.

Dear fellow Mike Green fan,
I found your wonderful and very professionally done website
dedicated to NHL player Mike Green quite by accident and I have
to say that you have done quite a nice job with your layout and
design.
Does Mike Green know about your website yet? I would think he
would be very pleased to see the fine job you are doing covering
his career.
I started publishing a Mike Green fansite earlier this year when
I finally got a chance to see a few Washington Capitals games
and I was really impressed by his calibre of play as well as that
of his teammate Alexander Ovechkin.
I hope you don’t mind that I added your fansite as a link from my
Mike Green website. Plus whenever I e-mail anyone I know about
hockey, I will definitely forward them the URL to your website. Yes,
I think it’s that good.
Although I live in Chicago and am a HUGE Blackhawks fan, I also
am a fan of players of other teams such as Rick Nash, Paul
Kariya, Mike Green and Steve Stamkos. It reminds me of earlier
this year when I was listening to NHL radio (via XM) and Bill Clement was talking with Commissioner Gary Bettman, and at
one point the Commissioner asked Mr. Clement if he rooted for
a particular team when he did a particular game. And Bill Clement
to his credit said, “No. I don’t for any team whose game I’m doing
the color commentary for. But, I do root for good people.” And I’ll
never forget that. I also root for good people. Like Mike Green.
If you don’t subsribe to The Hockey News yet, may I suggest
that you do? It’s one terrific publication and it comes every two
weeks now that we’re back in season.
On my home page, I’ve made my predictions for the 2008-2009
NHL campaign. I’ve picked a Capitals-Blackhawks Stanley Cup
Finals. What do you think?

Well, thank you for your time and God bless you and your family.
And once again, that is a beautiful fansite you publish dedicated
to Mike Green.
Sincerely,
Tom Best

Hi Tom,
I tried to access your page but it doesn’t seem to be working. I hope you’re right about the Caps-Hawks final, that would be one exciting series with all the fast young players. My actual prediction is a Sens-Wings final.
