I think it’s obvious that pretty much any normal Canadian would love to play for Team Canada the Olympics, specially since it will be in Canada in 2010.

Mike was quoted as saying that “It would be the happiest day of my life” is Stevie Y chooses him to be a part of the team and his main argument to the Team Canada brass is “that I care more than anyone else”.

Mike played for Canada at the 2008 World Championship, and that was when I first noticed his talent, and his great style of play. I was fortunate enough to get tickets and watch a game in Quebec City, well worth the two and half hour commute each way to watch.

I had originally planned to go to BC for the Olympics, but have since changed my mind and will be watching every game, from different places, I will always be wearing my Team Canada jersey though.

As Green said “you dream of playing for Canada as a kid”, I know I did!
