Canada is still my country and hockey is my sport!

I haven’t had a chance to post since the last couple games, but I will shortly, probably tomorrow and post updates for those two games and tonight’s.

But I had to come on here and express my extreme disappointment today, if only for therapeutic reasons!

How can the leading scorer amongst defenseman (from all countries) for the past two seasons not make the cut when they choose 7 for a single country. A guy that is almost plus 40 in the past season and a half, a guy that had 12 points in 9 games for Team Canada a couple years back, it doesn’t add up, the Norris snub last year, the Olympic snub today, did he piss someone off, is there some sort of illuminati in the hockey world, well I think we all know there is one.

A lot of people tell me it’s because he’s a defensive liability, and although I admit his defense sometimes leaves some to be desired, those who watch know it’s never at a crucial time, and that it has done nothing but improve over the past few seasons. Of course most people that say that, don’t even watch him, they just have to hate on him, just like people did on Coffey, if a defenseman has a lot of points he’s not good defensively seems to be a common theme.

Anyways, I have no pull, obviously, but I will still cheer for my country as this is our sport, but it still hurts…
