Even without Mike, the Caps were able to take the game six to three, it was another great game in this rivalry that is just getting better and better.

With the victory, Washington increased their lead in the Eastern Conference and are now with 6 points of the league leading San Jose Sharks, and the Caps have 2 games in hand.

Hopefully Mike will be back for Saturdays game when the Phoenix Coyotes will be in town. Mike was injured in a big collision with Todd Bertuzzi in Tuesday’ nights game against the Red Wings. He did participate in the morning skate yesterday so I expect he will be in the line up Saturday.
