Mike Green spoke to the media after an optional practice he took part in today. He spoke about watching instead of playing and how he thinks the adaptation to Coach Dale Hunter’s system.
A couple weeks ago Capitals defensemen Mike Green and Karl Alzner alongside Caps assistant coach Jim Johnson hosted a hockey school at Randolph Elementary in Arlington, Virginia. Check out the video below.
As you know, Mike Green had abdominal surgery just over a week ago, and will be out for another 3-5 weeks. Well you can now participate in something great, a Get Well Mike Green Book.
Finally after more than a month we get a real update about Mike Green’s injury, instead of just hearsay and rumors. The news comes from Washington Capitals general manager George McPhee.

I wasn’t able to update over the weekend, but needless to say after two sad games (6-3 Loss to New York and 5-1 Loss to Buffalo, a team which is missing 9 regulars including their star goalie) the end of the line had arrived for Coach Boudreau.
I don’t know when day to day became week to week, but as you can see in the video below of Coach Boudreau speaking on the different players updates, says that they hope Mike Green is “skating” by the end of this week.
Katie Carrera of the Washington Post has tweeted that Mike Green will play tonight in New Jersey against the Devils! Coach Boudreau told the media it was a game time decision, but it looks like it’s a GO!
It’s official Mike Green in on the 2012 NHL All-Star Fan Ballot. Hopefully he will make his second NHL All-Star Game appearance this year, voting starts on Monday November 14th, I’ll be sure to have something on the website to encourage people to go vote at NHL.com/Vote.
