Again the Caps were plagued by a bad second period, fortunately for them it didn’t cost them the game this time as they beat the Thrashers 6-4 on home ice.

Mike picked up his 5th goal and added an assist, in his 24 minutes and 3 seconds of ice time, he was a plus one, had 6 shots and a 2 minute minor penalty. Some people, on Twitter, have been saying he put in the Atlanta goal to tie the game at 4, but looking at the reply I don’t see how he can be blamed for that, it was going in, he was trying to stop it.

The important thing is that the Capitals got the win and are still the number one team in the National Hockey League.
